Getting Old and Playing

Today is my 66th birthday, so to those on the outside, I am well into senior citizen territory.  To those who know me best, close friends and family, I'm a 10-year old, always have been, always will be.  Proud of it.  Life is altogether too short to be taken seriously.  There are a lot of "old sayings" out there, and I spout many of them at those times I'm pretending to be profound and wise, but the truest one I've ever heard is
PEOPLE DON'T STOP PLAYING BECAUSE THE GET OLD; THEY GET OLD BECAUSE THEY STOP PLAYING.
My 66th birthday is a case in point.  Observe some of my gifts:
Toys, games, books, jewelry.  The two books on the left are blank journals decorated by my daughter, and what looks like a book on the right is a goodie box that she decorated.  Awesome stuff.
Moving on to this blog:  I had closed this briefly, as I have moved Party Central to the Scribblers' Den, and very few visitors come here anyway.  But I decided to open it again, mostly because I am reliably informed that every serious author must have a blog.  Well, I've had one for a long time, and it gets very little traffic, but since I must, here it is.  What will it be in the future?  Maybe something will come to me, but right now all I can see is using it to review great books by my fellow indies.  My activity as an author, as I said, has been moved to Scribblers' Den, and the action never stops over there.  But drop by once in a while, 'cause you never know what El Cajon's oldest teenager is going to come up with.  Who knows, it may even be worth reading!
Now get out there and live life like you mean it!
